Cookie Policy

How festi uses cookies and similar technologies

This Cookie Policy explains how festi uses cookies and similar technologies (such as localStorage and pixels) when you use our websites, applications, and related services (the Service). For details on how we process personal data more generally, please see our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the site owners. We also use localStorage, which works in a similar way, to store settings and an analytics identifier that persist between sessions.

2. How we use cookies and similar technologies

  • Strictly necessary: required for core features (e.g., security, page navigation). These cannot be turned off in our systems.
  • Preferences: remember your settings (e.g., theme or UI preferences) to improve your experience.
  • Analytics: help us understand how the Service is used and improve it. They are described in the next section.
  • Advertising: we do not use cookies or similar technologies for advertising, and we do not sell this data. If that changes, we will update this Policy.

3. Analytics and diagnostics tools

  • PostHog: product analytics tied to your account. It records what you do in the app and on the site (for example, the screens and pages you view, the buttons and interface elements you click or tap, the features you use such as creating events, RSVPs, and uploads, sign-ins, sign-outs and unexpected session failures, which notifications you allow and open, and page performance metrics) along with device, app, and browser information, such as the version of the app you run. It uses a cookie and localStorage to recognize your browser, and your analytics profile includes your name and phone number. PostHog also makes session recordings of how you move through the website, with all text, typed input, and images hidden before they leave your device; recordings are deleted after 30 days.
  • Vercel Analytics: aggregate page-view and performance statistics.
  • Sentry: error, crash and session-failure reports linked to your account ID. Session diagnostics exclude passwords, passcodes and authentication tokens.

We do not sell this data or use it for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.

4. Your choices and how to manage cookies

  • Opt out or delete: We do not currently show a cookie banner. To opt out of product analytics, or to ask us to delete your analytics data, visit our Contact page.
  • Browser settings: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and site data in their settings, and many offer tracking protection or content blockers. Note that disabling cookies may affect site functionality.

6. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. Because there is no common standard for DNT signals, we do not currently respond to them. We will update this Policy if standards emerge.

7. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice by reasonable means (e.g., posting on this page). Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
